Rex Theatre Mission Statement

The Family that operates the Rex Theatre intends that this Theatre be used to the betterment of the community of Glenwood by offering the stage and auditorium as a place for the youth of the area a place to grow, develop and perform their talents free of charge. We stress a high moral character development as a goal. When one of the other area venue's such as Church, School, or Amphitheatre are not available the Rex Theatre could be used by groups, organizations or individuals needing a stage and auditorium to perform. To that end we will work with other area venues when they are not able to accommodate requested performances at their facilities. We will still show movies on the weekend and, as always since owned by this family, never show a "R" rated film. We will be working on light, sound and stage systems in order to get this accomplished over the 2009 and 2010 years and will hope to be the "Rex Performing Arts Center" by May of 2011.
